Why these gifts

This Diwali, let your gift do more.

Every box you send helps three causes at once.

Animals

All profits fund Redefining Ahimsa's work for farmed animals in India.

Planet

Natural, reusable materials and plastic-free packing wherever possible.

Artisans

Every piece is made by small craft communities, who are paid fairly for their work.

Why cruelty-free

Behind many festive gifts is an animal who paid for it.

A single silk sari can take thousands of silkworms, boiled alive in their cocoons. Leather comes from cattle sent to slaughter once they stop giving milk. Beeswax is taken from the hive that made it. This Diwali, your gift can celebrate every life instead of costing one.

Instead of silk
Hand block-printed cotton and rescued fabric offcuts.
Instead of leather
Quilted cotton pouches and handmade paper diaries.
Instead of beeswax
Candles hand-poured from plant wax.

Why sustainable

Most festive gifts end up in a landfill. The forests pay for it.

Plastic hampers, foil wrap and gadgets used once are discarded within weeks of Diwali, while the forests and rivers that animals depend on absorb the cost. Every piece in this collection is made to be used for years, from materials that return to the earth.

Made from the earth
Cotton, clay, marble, brass and handmade paper, with no plastic in the products.
Made to be used
A diary, a pouch, a runner: gifts people reach for every day, not store away.
Packed with care
Reusable baskets and keepsake boxes that become part of the home, not the bin.

Made by local artisans

Six crafts, centuries old, kept alive by your order.

Machine-made gifts are pushing India's craft families out of work. Every box you order is fair, steady pay for artisans in the busiest season of their year, and a reason for the next generation to learn the craft.
