About Us
About the Redefining Ahimsa Foundation
Redefining Ahimsa Foundation is a non-profit organisation working to transform India’s food systems through education, community building, and policy reform. We believe that the principle of Ahimsa—non-violence toward all life—must be reimagined for today’s world to address the interconnected crises of animal suffering, climate change, and public health.

Our Vision
A future rooted in Ahimsa, where animals, humans, and the environment thrive in harmony.

Our Mission
To build a just food system through education, community building, and policy reforms.
Our Programs

Green Tuesday Initiative
Green Tuesday Initiative is a program designed
to help corporates and educational
institutions reduce their environmental footprint by reducing animal product consumption.

Food Planet Health Awareness Program
Food Planet Health: Talks for Future is a campaign that educates youth in India about the impact of our dietary choices on animals, health, and the environment.

Policy Reform
We drive systemic change by partnering with educational institutions, corporations, and government bodies to adopt plant-forward practices—from updating academic curriculum to implementing ESG commitments and advocating for national policies that promote sustainable food systems and farm animal rights.
